WHEN ACCIDENT HAPPENED
If you are involved in an accident with someone else or property is damaged, follow these simple guidelines:
Stop and remain at the scene of the accident.
If any one is injured, call the police and, if necessary, the ambulance service.
Give your name, address, registration number and insurance details of your vehicle to anyone who needs them.
Take the name, address, registration number and insurance details of any other vehicles involved. Their details can be found on the insurance disc displayed on their windscreen.
Get the names and addresses of any witnesses to the accident and, if possible, draw a diagram of what took place for use later with your insurance claim form.
If your car is immobile, call for a recovery vehicle to take your car to a garage of your choice.
Call your Insurance company/ insurance broker as soon as possible, and inform them of the accident and where their assessor can inspect your car.
